I started my love for seashells in 2005 when I first visited the Philippines in the Batangas island. A fisherman offered us a basket full of seashells, including the helmet conch and pacific Triton and some clam shells which I still have to this day. I was then studying to be an engineer at the time and after a year of admiring the shells I began to wonder how it would look like under a light... and so my journey began... I took an interest in seashell and have been experimenting on different ways to enjoy its natural beauty. I found some very nice and interesting lamps currently available in the market, but they all have one feature I didn't agree with. That was, they all altered the shell's natural beauty but drilling holes or cut slits into the shell. I didn't want to decrease the specimen's value by doing that so I tried to look for ways to incorporate lights into the shell without alternating any of its features. I quickly realize that only LED lights and its growing technology could be the answer. After working as a full time engineer for a few years, I now joined an LED company that will allow me to be closer to my true interest. I hope this journey will lead to a dream career and a lifetime exploration of nature's greatest creations...Seashells in a different light.
